At Miss Emalee’s Preschool, I’m proud to provide a caring and safe environment for your children. By following my mission, vision and values, I will create a nurturing, stimulating and welcoming learning environment for all children. I provide my students with the tools they need for future happiness and success. My classes incorporate a variety of educational theories, while always keeping the child’s best interests in mind and allowing for hands-on, experiential learning. Get in touch to learn more!
WHAT I TEACH
From science experiments to sensory explorations to STEM and STEAM activities, my science activities are sure to be fun and educational for the kids.
Creating art expands a child's ability to interact with the world around them, and provides a new set of skills for self-expression and communication. Not only does art help to develop the right side of the brain, it also cultivates important skills that benefit a child's development.
Imaginative play gives an opportunity for kids to practice and develop their language and social skills simply by being with and talking to other children. It boosts development of problem solving and self-regulation skills.
Physical skills are important for growth, physical coordination and the movement of the body. When children play outdoors they increase their ability to balance, jump, climb, throw, run and skip. When the weather conditions aren’t fit for outdoors, indoor exercise activities will be provided.
My goal as your child’s preschool teacher is to be sure that he or she is prepared for Kindergarten. I aim to teach the following:

-Letter Recognition & Letter Sounds
-Colors
-Shapes
-Numbers
-Counting
-Cutting
-Drawing
-Pre-Writing & Letter Tracing
-Life Skills
-Fine Motor Skills
-And Reading to them Lots!

APPLICATION
Need to Know
The school year runs from the beginning of September to the end of May. I also follow the traditional school year of the Alpine School District which means that your child will have the same days that the public schools have off.
The details will be provided in each school letter and calendar.
